Umaya Resort & Adventures offers an authentic experience on the shores of the Placencia Peninsula in Southern Belize. Umaya Resort Adventures has access to both Caribbean Sea and the Lagoon, with views of the mountains. Every unit consists of 2 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms, measuring 990 ft² or 1045 ft² (difference being veranda size).
As an owner you have the choice of living in the condominium full time or to place it into the resort rental pool. This entitles you to a free 3 month stay each year. For the usage of the resort rental pool, each owner is charged a monthly HOA fee of US$700. This fee includes electricity, water, cleaning, insurance, security, maintenance and common area utilities.
It is no secret; UMAYA, previously known as ‘Bella Maya’ and ‘Belize Ocean Club’, has had a troubled past. Majority of issues stemming from bad management. We inherited a property that had suffered through long history of mismanagement followed by the Covid pandemic where the property was closed for the better part of a year. There were significant issues confronting the business in every aspect of the business. Although this has certainly been a “trial by fire” first year, the business has improved significantly in all areas and we look forward to slow but continued improvement moving forward.
